BALKANTRIB 2014 is the 8th International Conference on Tribology organized by Balkan Tribological Association, Romanian Tribology Association and University Petroleum-Gas of Ploiesti, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering-Ploiesti, Romania.
The scope of this conference embraces the state of art and future trends in tribology research and application, emphasizing the necessity of facilitation intellectual collaboration across both disciplinary and national boundaries. BALKANTRIB 2014 is addressing:

The official language at the BALKANTRIB'14 conference used in presenting and writing the papers, is English. No translations will be provided.

Sinaia is about 60 kilometers (37 miles) northwest of Ploiesti , 50 kilometers (31 miles) south of Brașov and 110 km (68 miles) from Henry Coanda Bucharest Airport (approx. 1h 26 min. by car on E60/DN1), in a mountainous area on the Prahova River valley, just east of the Bucegi Mountains. The altitude varies from 767 to 860 meters (2,516 to 2,822 feet) above sea level.
We will provide transfer for conference participants from airport to the conference location at arriving and at departure.
